Hello! I am Jen Kalani, Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor– in the state of Illinois — with over 18 years of clinical experience. I focus on counseling, teaching and supporting people at all stages of their lives and I can help you find the clarity, self-awareness, and direction you need to create meaningful change.

My approach to therapy is authentic, collaborative, and relational. I will offer new perspectives and be curious about what helps you cope, as well as what is no longer working for you. We will make space for your needs as we explore your goals together. Life can be simultaneously beautiful as well as challenging, and I want to help connect you to the ways you navigate through the complexities of this thing called life. You don’t have to go through it alone.

I believe in the importance of community, connecting with nature, and am LGBTQ affirming. I also support clients to explore the impact of culture on mental health. I often work with young professionals or individuals who experience the effects of trauma. My undergraduate degree in Psychology is from Illinois State University and my masters degree in Clinical Counseling  is from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. My pronouns are: she/her/hers.
